Rose RootZone Oct 2022 Iss. 2: Gardener Updates

Dear Gardeners,

Here are a few quick updates.

  1. The garden water has been turned off for the season by the City in order to protect our pipes from freezing in the upcoming predicted frosts. With the chilly temps, stunning colors and fabulous tomato harvests, it would seem Autumn is finally here!

  2. Here are our Minutes from our productive October Steering Committee Meeting.

  3. Here is our Working Budget as of Oct 18, 2022 for Rose Roots garden.

  4. We are excited to be hosting the Hummin'Birds band for our Oct 29 Closing Work Party and Potluck. The work party starts at 9 am and the music and brunch will start around 10:30 am. Learn more about their style Here. Please join us to celebrate our final harvest of our 10 Year Anniversary season! RSVP Here and don't forget to sign up to bring an item on the RSVP. All community, family and Friends of Rose Roots are welcome to join!

  5. Remember to let us know Here on our Pre-Registration 2023 form if you plan to return next season or have other plans. We'd love to reserve your plot for you, and ensure all available plots get filled by eager gardeners on this wait list. If you are a new prospective gardener, also let us know your interest using this form.

  6. Remember to submit your nominations Here by Oct 31 for the following leadership positions: President, Vice President, Administrator and Membership Lead. This election will take place online in November, 2022 to elect our garden leaders for the 2023 season. All gardeners are welcome to help lead this entirely volunteer organization. We love new ideas and offer mentorship to all new leaders.

Happy Harvest Season,

Rose Roots Leadership Team
